Just catching up on your videos Vanessa so much in this one and I cannot believe that amazing stall selling the mushrooms, such a lovely market. Christine's boat looked so pretty and Zephyr looked impressed with her namesake boat too! such a beautiful waterway. Zephyr certainly won the argument with the ball! Thank you so much as always being surrounded by such beautiful countryside and wildlife plus meeting other boaters and folk using the towpath must really help lessen the feeling of isolation x

I'm loving going through your old vlogs, we love Old joe we visit him a lot ! My son is autistic and he loves clock towers. Old Joe is one of his favourites. Back in the 70s my uncle worked on Old Joe.

Hi Vanessa. Told you I would try to catch up. It’s 2:30 Am here so this is my last one for tonight. Tomorrow I will start earlier. I love that you’ve met so many different people along your path and you have video footage to back up those memories which is awesome. You share your experiences with us and change our lives as well as those you come across in separate communities. You may not think you change our lives but you do. You make us smile and appreciate the world in a different way. I absolutely love how cozy it always seems to be with nature all around. It reminds me years ago when I was just a child and our street just had 4 houses on it and 3 were immediate family. Cars never drove down our street and the rest was just woods on either side for miles. Now there are houses everywhere and people drive so fast down the street it’s dangerous. You can’t walk down the road like we use to as you have to watch out for cars. So it reminds me of being young again and enjoying nature. I don’t think we have narrow boating here. I wish we did. Zeph is just so precious. I love her energy and happiness. Just a beautiful dog and an amazing personality. I wouldn’t be able to stop patting her and rubbing her belly hehe.

I’m so sorry I haven’t been watching lately. I’m playing catch-up. I sent you a letter. I hope you get it :) The path that you took in this video was absolutely gorgeous. I can’t believe how glorious it is. What kind of camera do you use to zoom into those birds? So amazing. Once I finish this one I will move to the next. Hugs

How brilliant to catch sight of a hare! The fastest animal in Britain! We are such clumsy apes compared to these wonders of nature. I feel the same about our lovely kangaroos here in Oz - they can hop up to 45 miles per hour - and the fastest human can only run 5 miles per hour - astonishing! I did a copy of that famous Albrecht Durer painting of a hare recently - it's not easy to pencil in all the rippling lines of fur, and then the fluffy white fur on his chest and under his legs - I had to combine coloured pencils with pastels to get the right effect. You sketched him so beautifully - and you captured that hare's fierce dignity.

What book of maps is it that you for the canals?
